The fact is that none of the board Dems want to answer this simple question. For the fourth time....If for some reason, some how, some miracle, Hillary
Clinton wins the popular vote count, should she not be the presidential candidate?

If you wanted to count MI and want to be democratic and fair, you'd have to count the 238,168 uncommitted votes for Obama as most were almost certainly
intended for him.. There really are that many.

I have answered this from the outset. Hillary does not win under any circumstances, period. And to claim that she won the popular vote is inane. You do not get
to discount the caucus states and Michigan either doesn't count or you count all the uncommitted for Obama.
why do I question coach and rrh's motives?

agreed. Coach, you might as well ask what happens if Huckabee gets most popular votes. Can't happen.
btw, discounting caucuses is insane. Fewer people show up at caucuses than polls. We don't know what people who didn't show up might have done, so you have to count the votes of those who did.

As I said, I have no hidden agenda. Hell, if both of those liberal dung heaps would be hit by a train tomorrow, I'd be just as happy then as I am today.
In other words...I wouldn't give a shit. I don't believe in carte blanche gubmint hand outs and that is at the core of Liberal thinking and it usually
costs hard working americans a lot of money to fund all the special programs that are created as a result. If people have a sound mind and able body then they
should be working their fingers to the bone just like the early immigrants to this country did, NOT sitting in some gubmint program office looking for a
perpetual hand out. So I guess that is my motive if there really is one. I don't want a damn liberal president. I don't want touchy feely. I
don't give a crap about those who aren't willing to first help themselves before asking someone else for help and I see that crap every day.
I digress...my point is that our election system is flawed..badly. The popular vote..no matter who it is for, should be the sole deciding factor in who is elected. The idea that I cast my vote for an electoral college and not actually for the candidate of my choice, is absurd. We have grown beyond the fears of the founding fathers. Today's electorate is mostly educated, not ignorant and too dumb to be able to cast the vote that they think will best bennifit them. If people don't show up to vote then they have no right to bitch about who is elected..it's that simple. We need some serious election reform in this country or we are doomed as a democracy since each side will continue to up the ante until the cost to the average american becomes too great.

Hillary will not be the candidate no matter whatThis was in my second post. Are the words somehow confusing? Even if she wins the popular vote (under some bizarre math invented by Rush to stir up trouble), Hillary will not get the nomination. Can I be any clearer? and rrh why weren't you pissed that Gore didn't win? I personally want a direct election of the President too

Even if she wins the popular vote ...Hillary will not get the nomination. That's OK, I'm a slow reader myself...I was asking you if she should be the candidate...not if she would be. I mean Democrats are the ones who claim whomever gets the majority of the popular vote should be the winner of the contest.

should she be?
no (but I also don't think she came close in the popular vote)

No.
Because for her to be considered to have a majority, some highly specious, republican-style math would be involved.
