My first child to get married did so in New Orleans on Saturday. My daughter Heather, who some of you know, is now Mrs. John Warren Doyle III. I'm not an
expert on weddings, but I think this one was outstanding, and it went off without a hitch. Rehearsal dinner for 250 at Antoine's, ceremony at the St.
Charles Presbyterian Church, reception for 500 at the New Orleans Country Club. It was all first class. I include a photo of the handsome couple. My sister
did the wedding cake, and it was absolutely a work of art. Here's a photo. Those flowers were hand made by my sister out of colored sugar. I was a bit
sad to see Heather married, but also happy, because Warren is an outstanding young man, has an advanced degree from Vanderbilt, and has a great family. They
were lucky to find each other. Many people are never so lucky.
